100 Years of selected Chair highlights
February 15th to September 25th 2017
Similar to our presentation during OBJECT our chair show in our Utrecht gallery starts with and includes quite a few the Gerrit Rietveld masterpieces like the newly released Chair for Metz&Co and a limited edition Utrecht Chair with a Bertjan Pot fabric.
But unlike our chair show in the ss Rotterdam in Utrecht we will also be showing models from talented designers from other European countries as including a few firsts like the latest Jasper Morrison creations for the Japanese Maruni but also the prototypes of Scholten & Baijings for Karimoku New Standard that will first be released in Milan this April.
To accompany this ultimate chair show we are showing the entire sculptural lighting collection that Michael Anastassiades designed for Flos plus a few of the beauties from his own private label.
And as additional special guest we have invited artist Luuk Bode to show some of his powerful abstract paintings where he, like in Rietveld’s 'De Stijl’ period, makes use of mostly primary colors.
