Along the Nieuwegracht, in the historic center of Utrecht, we transformed the ground floor and canal basement of a monumental canal house into a wonderfully spacious urban residence for our highly enterprising clients. The sleek, minimalist kitchen and a limestone fireplace recessed into the wall impart character to this generous space, seamlessly merging with the expansive inner garden. In the canal basement, they enjoy peaceful sleeping and bathing beneath the characteristic, centuries-old vaults.
