This fourth exhibition in our gallery space in the Domstraat is about the mid-century modern masterpieces designed by Hans Wegner and Fritz Haller.
The 100th anniversary of master furniture designer Hans Wegner on April 2nd 2014 and the 50th anniversary of the USM Haller modular furniture system next year is more than enough reason to bring these masterpieces together!
Most of Wegner’s furniture classics are inspired by the wood he loved so much to mold in his organic functionalist way.
By contrast cold steel has been converted to poetry by the constructive systematic functionalism that can be found in all of Fritz Haller’s work.
Wood vs. Steel Denmark vs. Switzerland, Craftsmanship vs. High-Tech Industry.
We also show a Galerie Fontana masterpiece.
