PP møbler

PP Møbler is a Danish family business created from a passion for craftsmanship and design. In a relatively small but very accomplished Danish workshop, the third generation of Pedersen is working on the highest achievable quality furniture. This is achieved by combining knowledge and experience from the family, talents and passion for the craft from all over the world, together with some stubbornness and expertise. The partnership with Hans J. Wegner has played a very big role for the brand. PP Møbler joined Wegner in his search for the "perfect chair." During this search, the most unique chairs were designed including the unmatchable armchair the Papa Bear, The Chair, and the PP 58 also known as the Final Chair.

PP MØBLER PHILOSOPHY AND THEIR DESIGNERS

Very high quality furniture, with these words you can best describe the unique brand PP Møbler. The furniture has quality, functionality, relevance and aesthetics of a very high level. With the philosophy, "Our collection should endure the time it takes a new tree to grow," they create furniture that lasts a lifetime. They make furniture with respect for people and nature.

This philosophy fits perfectly with Hans J. Wegner's approach. Both wanted to design furniture with materialization, craftsmanship and aesthetics of the highest level. Wegner was one of the greatest Danish furniture designers of his time; he was also called the "masters of chairs." He believed that chairs are the furniture closest to people. As such, he designed more than 500 of them.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND HISTORY OF PP MØBLER

The family business founded by the two brothers, Ejnar and Lars Peder Pedersen witch have always been the foundation of the brand. Lars was the man of the workshop and was immensely talented. Through his great love of craftsmanship, he created an environment where high-quality furniture was made. Partly because of him, PP Møbler is known as a brand where extremely high quality is achieved. Brother Ejnar was the creative thinker of the pair. His large network of architects and designers provided the well-known partnership with Hans J. Wegner.

In 1977, son Søren took over. He saw to it that modernization took place, the workshop was provided with the high-quality machinery and so the brand was able to grow into the top-class company it still is today. Currently, PP Møbler is run by the third generation, grandson Kasper and his wife Katja.  Everyone has added their own qualities to the brand. But the core value; unique design with the highest quality craftsmanship is still the focus. Over the years to this day, craftsmen from all over the world want to work and be a part of PP Møbler's uncompromising way of working. Workshop of Wonders also had the honor and pleasure of speaking to the third generations during their visit to the workshop in Denmark.
