JAPAN – a cross culture design adventure

Show #05

June 1st - September 27th 2014

This fifth exhibition in our gallery space in the Domstraat is about the cultural cross-over between Japan and Europe.

Japan’s two largest furniture brands have entered the international design field with some of Europe’s best designers. Maruni (we are the only Dutch dealer) has joined forces with Jasper Morrison.

Karimoku New Standard with Scholten & Baijings, Big-Game, TAF and Sylvain Willenz. 1616/ Arita Japan invited Scholten & Baijings to design a traditionally pro- duced ceramic range.

Two generations of Japanese designers have created for established European design brands. We are spotlighting Naoto Fukasawa and Nendo showing their specific styles, use of material and their influence on European design.
